Lawyers Rosie and Alex tied the knot on 25th August at Fitzrovia Chapel in London, followed by a reception at Milk Beach in Queens Park.
Rosie wore a beautiful Anna Kara wedding dress, with elegant botanical lace motifs and chose to carry a gorgeous blue hydrangea wedding bouquet.

Bridal Beauty & Accessories
I wore Le Labo Santal 33 because its a fantastic long lasting scent and Alex bought me a bottle for Christmas which I’ve hardly had the chance to wear. My best friend and bridesmaid Sian kindly lent me the garter worn by her granny and her mum – it was the best something ‘borrowed’ I could imagine.
My bridesmaids and I had our hair done by Guy Parsons, at Gorgeous Salon in Kensal Rise, and my sister and I did a bridal make up lesson together at Paintbox London a few months before which was brilliant. We were then able to do our own make up on the day which felt more fun and intimate.
Alex’s mum, Nicola, very kindly bought my shoes for me and I chose a pair from Australian label Essen – the Elevated Essential in sand. I love them it as they are so timeless and chic.
A Blue Hyndrangea Wedding Bouquet
Our florist was Phillo Florist on Chepstow Road near Royal Oak. We chose them because they’ve won an RHS award and create beautiful arrangements.
I knew I wanted hydrangea bouquets, blue for me and white for my bridesmaids, because I like the way hydrangea have a vintage look and create lots of volume to a arrangement while being quite robust.
The flowers look fabulous all day.
How They Met
Alex and I met at law school in Chancery Lane in 2015. We were in classes together and became pretty inseparable (at first as friends) on the course and in life more generally. We would go out ostensibly to ‘study’ and end up, a few drinks later, dancing until the early hours.
I decided to propose to Alex during a celebratory meal at the City Social in 2020. We had discussed marriage and knew we both wanted to take that step and I thought Alex would appreciate me taking the initiative – and the swiss watch I gave him!
We were engaged for two years before we got married. Partly because of covid-19, but also because we wanted time to enjoy the engagement and to plan the wedding ourselves.
Reception
Our reception was at Australian bar and restaurant, Milk Beach, on Lonsdale Road catered for all of our guests on the day. Milk Beach printed us an event poster which we love. It’s a great memento( which we’ll frame when we get round to it!)
We opted for two cakes from Punk Cake Rocks and they were both delicious. We had one traditional floral sponge cake with blueberries and lemon curd and the other was a beautiful biscoff flavour creation.
We also had a cheese tower of English cheeses that we sourced through Cheese Please near where live in Lewes.
My favourite part of the day was seeing Alex at the altar of Fitzrovia Chapel and the champagne reception we had after the ceremony.
It is such a beautiful space in the heart of London and it was lovely to share it with our friends and family.
Alex says his favourite part was: “seeing Rosie’s face (and dress!) for the first time. all the nerves fell away and she looked incredible.
It’s an image that will stand out in my memory forever.”
